Thomas Packaging, formerly Service Industries, will be exhibiting several pieces of pharmaceutical packaging equipment at Interphex 2014. The show is at the Javits Center in New York City from March 18 to 20. We’ll be at the booth of our parent company, Thomas Engineering, number 2853. We will have three pieces of equipment on display, the BottleScan, the VisionScan, and the EZ Blister.

The VisionScan and BottleScan are non-destructive pharmaceutical package leak testers. The revolutionary VisionScan uses cameras and a vacuum chamber to detect whether individual cavities in a blister package are sealed. Unlike traditional blue dye baths, good packages are not destroyed, which can result in a much more accurate test an considerable savings.

The BottleScan is a non-destructive leak tester for induction sealed bottles. Many bottles are only tested with a squeeze test, which can be subjective or unreliable. The BottleScan provides quantifiable results to determine if your pharmaceutical bottles are properly induction sealed. The BottleScan, introduced last year at Pack Expo, is a great addition to any pharmaceutical bottle filling lie.

The EZ Blister is a table top, single station blister packaging machine for R&D and clinical supplies. It is an extremely cost effective packaging solution for any lab so you can run your blister package samples without having to interrupt or tool up your production blister packaging lines.
