Thomas Packaging and our partner Mario Cricca will introduce MAC’s new balcony style S-100 blister machine at the Pack Expo 2016 show in Chicago, November 6-9, at our booth, W-645 in the West Hall.
MAC S-100 Balcony Style Overview
The Mario A. Cricca S-100 blister machine is designed for small scale, continuous blister packaging batches. Many manufacturers produce large blister machines for the highest throughputs. However, most pharmaceutical batches are actually quite small. Most pharmaceutical packagers do not need a large machine for their normal batches. Most production batches are less than 10,000 packs. The balcony style S-100 is ideal for these applications. With a small footprint, it fits in even the smallest labs and production units. However, the unit operates like a production size unit so results and parameters easily scale up. The balcony style S-100 is designed specifically for GMP applications. It is fully servo driven and includes a Rockwell PLC control system and touchscreen interface.

Balcony Style S-100 Applications
Mario Cricca designed the balcony style S-100 for small scale production and laboratory operations. Many pharmaceutical packagers that want to start blister packaging do not have a large room available. They only have a small space available and do not want to invest in a large machine. The S-100 is the perfect blister machine for applications like this. With its small footprint and easy operation, it is ideal for manufacturers just getting into blister packaging as well as for clinical supply or R&D areas.
