Thomas Packaging at Interphex 2018
Thomas Packaging will be at Interphex 2018 booth 3041, with our parent company Thomas Engineering. We will be displaying the Sepha VisionScan non destructive leak tester for blister packs.
The Sepha VisionScan is a tool-less, non-destructive leak detection device for pharmaceutical blister packs. It uses camera imaging technology to offer a flexible, reliable, and objective cost saving alternative to traditional blue dye baths, which destroy the pack being tested.
The latest model from Sepha offers an even shorter test time, down to as low as 6 seconds for gross holes and 10 seconds for micron size pin holes. The machine weights only 40 kg and easily fits on a desk top. It can detect both gross leaks or small pin hole leaks or leaks from weak seals. It is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant and all data can be exported to your network as well. Tests are completely objective. The unit gives the operator a pass / fail result so there is no need for interpretation or operator error.
The VisionScan also works well for stability testing. You can test packs for leaks before putting them on stability so you know ahead of time that any failures will not be from package leaks.
Watch the latest Sepha VisionScan video to learn more about the unit. Or stop by our booth at Interphex, booth 3041. We will have a live unit available for demonstrations with our sample packages. Because the unit is tool-less, we can also bring a machine to you for an on site demonstration using your actual packs. See how this non destructive tester works and how it can save you money.
The show is in New York City’s Javit’s Center, right in Midtown Manhattan, from April 17 to 19, 2018. Click here to register for the show.
